Here at Astral Castle, we believe that there's no substitute for the good company of a live human sharing a table with you, which is why we focus on games in the more traditional forms, the sorts of games in which people play against other people.
Finally, some good news about Pente! It's back in a new version from Winning Games, boxed with a board in a blue version, and including some new rules you can use (if you like). We also have stones suitable for expanding your game to include extra players.
New Categories, New Games! After a round of serious play-testing, our selection of games has been greatly expanded to include only the best of what we've found. Here's a run-down of our newest categories and what they contain:
A new category: "Murder and Mystery Games" features Decipher's "How To Host A Murder" series of party games, as well as University Games' "Murder Ala Cart." The "Teen" versions of "How To Host A (Teen) Mystery" party games can be found in the "Family and Board Games" category, since they are suitable for the whole family.
The "Board Games" category still includes the "Family and Board Games", but we've added some new, award-winning games like those in Avalon Hill's classic line, which includes "Cosmic Encounter" and "Diplomacy"; a clever new word game "Letterhead", and international hits like "Settlers of Catan". If you've had trouble finding some of the perennial favorites like and "Mille Bornes" you're in the right place. And of course, we still have our ancient games, including a variety of Chinese Games (including Xiangqi, also known as Elephant Chess or Chinese Chess), Senet and Mancala -- we even have Gaming Stones suitable for replacement pieces for most Mancala games..
Some new "Board Game" categories specifically for the family have been added. Starting with "Beginner's Games" featuring games for the littlest players from Ravensburger, like "Four First Games", Counting and Matching games. For the slightly older audience, you'll find here "Apples To Apples Jr" as well as "Junior Labyrinth".

We did finally get a version of Senet (Senat), the ancient Egyptian board game, that we find very pleasing. It comes packaged in an attractive box, and the game itself is made of wood, including a storage drawer, rods, spools, dice and the more authentic "throwing sticks" as well as rules you can use if you don't already have a version of the game you prefer.
